Traumatic injuries, including dislocations

In the structure of various injuries of the musculoskeletal system, traumatic dislocations are of great importance.

Traumatic dislocations and dispositions that are not eliminated in the first 24 hours after the injury can be the cause of complex orthopedic and surgical pathology.

If, in the case of subluxation of the foot, a sprained ligament is mistakenly diagnosed at the trauma center, and the necessary manipulation to correct the dislocation is not performed, this can lead to permanent lameness, increased asymmetric load on the muscles of the lower back, and as a result - pain in the lumbar spine.

Failure to take into account the very principle of immediate intervention in case of fresh dislocations turns them into outdated and chronic ones.

Dislocations and dispositions of household injuries do not require surgical intervention, but today there are already hospitals that increasingly offer surgical treatment in patients with a history of "twisted leg".

Separately, it must be said that even in the absence of an orthopedist and a traumatologist qualified in the treatment of dislocations, modern rehabilitation therapy can cope with this task.

Restoration of normal anatomical relationships in the damaged joint leads to healing, especially when it is supplemented by comprehensive physical rehabilitation.

False diagnoses of "contusion" or "ligament sprain" in the diagnosis and treatment of "fresh" traumatic dislocations, as a rule, entail gross anatomical changes in the surrounding tissues, make the joint functionally inferior, and in chronic cases lead to radical structural changes. Technically correctly performed exercise reduces the need for surgical intervention by 95%, and correctly selected physical rehabilitation in addition to physiotherapeutic treatment makes it possible to restore work capacity in almost 100% of cases.

The locomotor apparatus of a person is a rather complex structure, where the presence of levers (bones), hinges (joints) and elastic rods (muscles and ligaments) with their fine adjustment makes it possible to perform various types of movements with greater accuracy, which allows taking into account the basic laws of mechanics, resort to comparing it with a car. Recognition and correct interpretation of anatomical and functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system are impossible without sufficient knowledge in the field of anatomy and biomechanics, the main provisions and laws of which are based on the analysis of the anatomical forms of the articular ends of bones, their mutual location, as well as on the analysis of axial movements of rotation and degree freedom of movement in one or another joint. Knowing this, it is not difficult to detect even by palpation this or that pathological posture in it, a violation of the joint axis and the mutual location of the joint bones.
